Rubbish or Resource? Bristol Consultation Two major public consultations have been held to raise awareness and to canvass the public’s opinions about the important subject of how and where we should deal with residual waste in the West of England.

The first phase of the consultation launched the Rubbish or Resource? name. Held in June-July 2006 it helped raise awareness, in simple terms, of the key issues. Documents relating to this phase can also be found on these pages Click here

In 2007 (January – March) a more in depth Issues and Options (Phase 2) public consultation was held. This consultation presented the public with a wide range of additional technical information about technologies and locational strategies. It was supported by extensive technical research.
